Asian Food and Culture Festival: A close touch with Asian Culture

The 1st Asian Food & Culture Festival in Guangzhou, organized by spouses of Asian Consuls General of Guangzhou, Kicks off today (Nov 22).

Various food, music and dance performances from 12 Asian countries. The 1st Asian Food & Culture Festival in Guangzhou, organized by spouses of Asian Consuls General of Guangzhou, Kicks off today (Nov 22).

"This event is to share with friends the unique Asian Culture identity," said Mrs. Pandy from Indian Consulate General in Guangzhou, “To share the various Asian culture, including music, food, dance and so on."

"We decided to do something special, to let everybody know, especially our host China, what the food is like and the culture of our country." said Iris Nir from Consulate General of Israel in Guangzhou. The food served at this event is from 12 different countries, "Some of them are traditional, some of them are served for holiday and others are served every day." Iris told newsgd reporter, “If this event is successful, such event would be held every year and there will be more events and functions to show other things of Asian countries."

Culture show from India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand was also displayed at the event.
